My Personal Journey with Acne (Why I Created Nudi Point)
Before we get into solutions, I want to share something personal.
As a teenager, my skin was honestly my biggest insecurity. I struggled badly with acne, and it affected my confidence more than anything else at the time. There were days I didn’t even want to go to school because of how my skin looked.
I became completely obsessed with trying to fix it.
I tried everything - harsh chemical products, different routines, and even treatments that left my skin feeling worse - red, dry and irritated. Nothing seemed to actually solve the problem long-term.
It wasn’t until I discovered natural skincare and aromatherapy that things started to change.
Instead of stripping my skin, I began using ingredients that actually supported and nourished it. Over time, my skin started to calm, balance and finally clear.
That journey is what led me to create Nudi Point.
Everything we make is based on that simple philosophy - work with your skin, not against it.
What Causes Acne?
Acne is one of the most common skin concerns and can affect people of all ages. It often appears as pimples, blackheads, whiteheads or inflamed breakouts.
Acne develops when pores become clogged with:
excess oil (sebum)
dead skin cells
bacteria
Some of the most common triggers include:
hormonal changes
stress
diet
harsh skincare products
over-cleansing or incorrect routines
Understanding what’s causing your acne is the first step toward improving it.
Natural Ways to Reduce Acne
From my own experience, one of the biggest shifts was moving away from harsh treatments and focusing on supporting my skin naturally.
Cleanse Gently
Using a gentle cleanser helps remove impurities without damaging your skin barrier. Overly harsh products can actually increase oil production.
Avoid Over-washing
Washing your face too often can strip natural oils, causing your skin to produce more oil to compensate.
Stay Hydrated
Hydration plays a key role in maintaining healthy skin.
Manage Stress
Stress was a big trigger for me personally. Finding ways to relax can make a noticeable difference in your skin.
Eat a Balanced Diet
What you put into your body can impact your skin just as much as what you put on it.
Best Natural Ingredients for Acne-Prone Skin
When I started learning about natural skincare, I realised how powerful certain ingredients can be.
Tea Tree Oil
Known for its natural antibacterial properties, tea tree oil is widely used to help support clearer skin.
Activated Charcoal
Helps draw out impurities and excess oil from the skin.
Clay (Kaolin or Bentonite)
Gently detoxifies the skin and helps absorb excess oil.
Witch Hazel
Helps tone the skin and reduce the appearance of pores.
These types of ingredients are now a big part of how we formulate products at Nudi Point.
A Simple Natural Skincare Routine for Acne
From everything I’ve learned, consistency is key.
Step 1 - Cleanse
Use a gentle natural cleanser that won’t strip your skin.

Step 2 - Treat
Use targeted treatments to support breakout areas.
Step 3 - Nourish
This was a big turning point for me - using oils and serums to support the skin rather than dry it out.
Step 4 - Stay Consistent
Natural skincare takes time, but it works with your skin long-term.
Common Mistakes That Make Acne Worse
I made a lot of these mistakes myself when I was younger.
Using Harsh Products
Stripping your skin often leads to more breakouts, not fewer.
Over-Exfoliating
Too much exfoliation can damage your skin barrier.
Picking at Your Skin
This spreads bacteria and can cause scarring.
Constantly Changing Products
Your skin needs time to adjust and respond.
Final Thoughts
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:
Your skin doesn’t need to be attacked - it needs to be supported.
Switching to natural skincare completely changed my skin, and it’s the reason Nudi Point exists today.
If you’re struggling with acne, start simple. Be consistent. And focus on using ingredients that work with your skin, not against it.
Clearer, healthier skin is absolutely possible - I’ve lived it.
