Most conventional insect repellents work by coating the skin in DEET - a synthetic chemical that is effective but harsh, particularly for children and sensitive skin. Our 'Buzz Off!' natural insect repellents take a different approach, using a blend of pure essential oils of lavender, eucalyptus, basil, lemongrass and peppermint - plant compounds that insects find naturally aversive - to create a protective barrier without synthetic chemicals.
We offer two formats. The 'Buzz Off!' Spray combines the same pure essential oil blend with alcohol-free witch hazel - a natural astringent that helps the oils bind to the skin for longer-lasting protection. The 'Buzz Off!' Essential Oil Blend is the concentrated version, perfect for adding to a diffuser to protect a room or outdoor space, or diluting in a carrier oil for direct skin application.
Both products are handcrafted in small batches in the Takahue Valley, Far North of New Zealand - a region with high insect pressure year-round, which is exactly the environment these formulas were developed and tested in. No DEET, no synthetic chemicals, no artificial fragrance. Safe for the whole family.
